GUA MUSANG, Oct 3 – The Barisan Nasional (BN) government has kept to its word and delivered all promises made to Galas constituents during the by-election in the state constituency last November, said Galas state assemblyman Ab Aziz Yusoff.
“The developments which benefited the people, including the Orang Asli, were housing assistance projects for the poor, paved roads and the People’s Housing Project involving 1,500 units,” he said during a “meet-the-people” session with the Orang Asli at Pos Brooke here, today.
Ab Aziz, who is also Gua Musang Umno secretary, said the BN government would do its best for the Orang Asli who supported the coalition at every election.
He said there were only 30 percent of Orang Asli in the rural areas without housing but the government was looking into the matter.
“Many more houses under the assistance project are under construction and expected to be completed in the near future, and they will be handed over to the people in a matter of time,” he added.
